The music department at Tennessee Tech featured a Student Composers
Concert. J.P. performed The Knight's Revenge on the piano. Also, Mount Angel for bassoon was premiered by Amber Patterson! (Thank you Amber for all of your hard work!) It was an excellent concert.
- October 15, 2009 @ 11:00am - The Knight's Revenge was performed in the Wattenbarger Auditorium in the BFA at Tennessee Technological University. This composition was played on a beautiful Steinway grand piano. Student and faulty enjoyed the performance
- October 1, 2009 @ 7:00pm - The One Gold Rose for male and female duet was performed by Douglas Easterling (Baritone), Ruth Dearing (Mezzo-soprano), and J.P. Dennis (Piano). This performance is part of the John Lennon Songwriting Competition and was held at Wattenbarger Auditorium in the BFA at Tennessee Technological University. All performances were evaluated by a panel of judges. This event was in correlation with MENC. For more information on the competition, please visit http://www.jlsc.com.
- August 31, 2009 - J.P. started freshman classes at Tennessee Technological University.
- July 21, 2009 - The East Tennessee Concert Band sight read The War of Fantasia. J.P. conducted and they did a wonderful job. (I received positive feedback as well as some critiques.)
- May 9, 2009 - The audio page was updated with new recordings! Includes: The War of Fantasia (Mov. I & II) for Piano, The Knight Revenge for Piano, Sonata No.1 in C# Minor (Mov. I, II, & III), Medieval Fantasy for Piano, and It's Christmas Day for Soprano and Piano! Thank you Roane State Community College Music Department!
